GlobalTimeTools.com is an independent website offering free online calculators and converters for time zones, dates, currencies, loans, investments, Indian taxation and live market data. It is built and maintained by Nishanth Narayanan and a small independent team in Coimbatore, India that works daily with the tax, payroll and compliance calculations these tools automate.
Who writes and builds this
The tools and the guides are built and written by Nishanth Narayanan, working from Coimbatore, India. Much of the site exists because of problems he ran into personally: coordinating work across Indian, European and American time zones, where a meeting that was fine in January quietly moves in March, and where getting India right means handling a half hour offset correctly.
Every guide on this site is written by hand rather than generated, and each one names its author and the date it was published. If something is wrong, there is a person to tell.
Why this site exists
We built the tools we wanted to use ourselves, and we held them to three things: current rules with the assessment year labelled, the formula shown next to every result so you can check the working, and pages that load quickly on an average phone connection. If a number appears on this site, you should be able to see how it was arrived at.
Our principles
Accuracy first. Tax tools state their financial year and are updated when rules change. Formulas follow the same conventions banks, exchanges and tax software use.
Privacy by default. Calculators run in your browser. Salaries, invoices, passwords and text you enter are never uploaded to our servers. Live market and currency data is fetched from public sources; your inputs are not part of those requests.
Free means free. No sign-up, no paywall, no locked features. The site is supported by advertising, clearly separated from content.
Data sources
Currency rates come from the European Central Bank’s daily reference rates. Market prices come from public market data feeds and may be delayed up to 15 minutes; they are provided for information, not as investment advice. Time zone data comes from the IANA time zone database via your browser.
Corrections
If you find an error in any calculation, tell us through the contact page. Accuracy reports get priority and are typically fixed within days.
