The short version
Everything you type into our calculators (incomes, invoices, passwords, text) is processed inside your browser and never sent to our servers. Advertising cookies are described below and you can decline non-essential cookies. Our own analytics uses no cookies at all and never stores your IP address.
Information we do not collect
Calculator inputs are not transmitted, logged or stored by us. The GST invoice generator, salary calculator, password generator and word counter run entirely on your device. Some tools save your preferences (such as your time zone list) in your browser’s local storage, which stays on your device and can be cleared through your browser settings.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our web server records standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and troubleshooting. Live market and currency tools request data from our server-side proxies; those requests contain the symbols or currency pair requested but none of your other inputs.
Advertising
We display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and you can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google’s partner-sites page. Users in the EEA and UK are shown a consent message before personalised ads are served.
Analytics
We run our own analytics on our own server. There is no third-party analytics service, no Google Analytics, and no advertising or tracking cookie is set by us for this purpose.
When a page loads, your browser sends us a single small message recording the page address you opened, the website you arrived from (its domain name only, never the full link or anything you searched for), your screen and window width, your browser, your operating system and your language setting. That is the whole list.
We do not store your IP address. To count how many people visited rather than how many times a page was loaded, your IP address and browser description are combined with a secret value and converted into a short code that cannot be reversed. That secret value is replaced every day and the previous one is destroyed, so the same visitor on two different days cannot be recognised as the same person, and the stored code can never be traced back to you.
We do not use cookies or browser storage for analytics, we never record anything you type into a calculator, and we do not build a profile of you or share this data with anyone. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, we record nothing at all.
The information is kept on our own server, outside the public website, and is used only to see which tools people find useful and how the site performs.
Our Android apps
We publish Android apps under the Global Time Tools name: World Clock, Photo Tools, Salary & Tax Calculator, SIP Calculator and Loan Calculator. This section covers those apps. Everything above describes the website.
There is no account and no sign in. You cannot create a profile in either app, so there is nothing for us to hold, nothing to sync and nothing to delete. Google Play asks for an account deletion path only where a person can sign in, and here nobody can.
Your content stays on your phone. World Clock keeps your chosen cities in the app’s own storage on the device, and the calculators keep the figures you type only for as long as the screen is open. Photo Tools opens the picture you choose and resizes, crops, compresses, converts or adjusts it entirely on the phone. No picture is ever uploaded to us, and the tools work with no signal at all. A picture leaves your phone only when you save it to your gallery or share it yourself.
Settings we can change without a new version. Each app asks our own server, at console.globaltimetools.com, whether any of its settings have been changed since it was built: things like the default rate a calculator starts on, or whether ads are shown at all. The app sends only its own name, version and build number and the list of settings it understands. It sends nothing about you and nothing about your device, it sets no cookie, and no advertising ID is involved. Every value already ships inside the app, so if that request fails, or you are offline, or we switch the service off, the app works exactly as well.
The note an app keeps about itself. Each app writes a short trail of what it was doing, such as which screen you opened or that it was closed while in the foreground, so that a report of “it just closed” can be answered rather than guessed at. That trail stays on your phone. It is never uploaded on its own and we cannot read it. It leaves the device only if you choose to send it from the app’s own settings, which opens your share sheet so you decide where it goes. It holds no name, no email address and no contents of anything you typed.
Advertising. Both apps show ads supplied by Google AdMob unless you buy the ad-free option. To show them, AdMob reads your device’s advertising ID and technical information about the device, and shares it with Google and its advertising partners. That is a genuine sharing with a third party, not processing on our behalf, and it is declared that way on the store listing. Where the law requires it, including the EEA and the UK, a consent form is shown before any personalised ad is served, and you can change that choice later. You can reset or delete the advertising ID at any time in Android under Settings, Google, Ads.
Payments. The ad-free option and the subscriptions are sold through Google Play Billing, with RevenueCat handling the receipt on our side. We never see or store your card details. What we receive is whether a purchase is active, tied to an anonymous identifier rather than your name.
The diagnostics note. Each app keeps a short note of what it was doing (screens opened, buttons pressed, whether it closed while it was open) so that “it just closed” can be answered instead of guessed at. That note stays on your phone. Nothing is uploaded automatically and there is no analytics service in either app. It leaves only if you tap Send a report yourself, through your phone’s own share sheet, to whoever you choose.
Neither app asks for your location, your contacts, your microphone or your files beyond the single picture you choose to open.
Third-party services
Currency rates are fetched from the Frankfurter API (European Central Bank data); market quotes from public market data feeds; fonts from Google Fonts. These providers receive standard technical request data (such as your IP address) when your browser loads those resources.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under the GDPR and India’s DPDP Act 2023), you may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data. Since we hold essentially no personal data about visitors, most requests concern advertising cookies, which you can clear in your browser at any time. US state privacy rights
If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected, to ask for it to be deleted, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not build profiles ourselves. Our advertising partner may use cookies for personalised advertising, which some US state laws treat as sharing. You can turn that off for your browser at Google Ads Settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. Residents of other US states with similar laws, such as Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas, have comparable rights and can use the same routes, or contact us through the contact page.
Children
The site is a general-audience utility site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
