What size is an Instagram profile picture?
Instagram stores your profile picture at 320 by 320 pixels. It is displayed much smaller, around 110 pixels on a phone, but uploading at the full 320 by 320 keeps it sharp on every screen, including larger displays. Anything smaller gets stretched up and looks soft.
Remember that it is cropped to a circle
